This is a volunteer, proof-of-concept project that was started because instructors were being forced due to the covid-19 pandemic to begin online teaching with little time for planning. The organizers had developed the software and techniques in the Interactive Video-Enhanced Tutorials (IVET) project, which is funded by NSF grants DUE-1821391 and DUE-1821396. However, the Interactive Online Lectures project is not part of the IVET project. RIT is providing support in the form of a website and closed captioning.
